Anyone know what happens when you mix hot cocoa mix with peanut butter? I'd
try it myself but I'm running low on hot cocoa. Thanks.

I decided to sacrifice some of my hot cocoa reserves for this experiment. It
should be noted that the hot cocoa mix I used contained powdered milk.

The result was a peanut butter confection, similar to what you'd find in a
Reese's peanut butter cup.

It was not very sweet though, and not very chocolately. Personally I think
this was a waste of hot cocoa.

LOL. I'm sort-of speechless why you'd ever want to know in the first
place :)

Add a handful of chocolate chips to your peanut butter - that's what you
were looking for in the first place. :) I've done that with my homemade
almond butter as a quick snack/dessert and it's delicious.

Or chocolate syrup.

Or eat peanut butter from the jar while drinking chocolate milk.

Or alternate bites of a chocolate bar with spoonfuls of peanut butter.

What type of chocolate chips do you prefer with peanut butter?

Kind of like eating tiramusu with coffee. Interesting.

Sounds like a plan. Thanks.

On The Kitchen, they cut up frozen bananas and put it through
the food processor with some full fat yogurt and some peanut
butter. Then they swirled in some Nutella and froze it.
Looked pretty delicious.

Filed under Stuff you can make with peanut butter.

Is The Kitchen a television show or a food blog?

When people say "chocolate chips", they are saying semi-sweet by
default.

Semi-sweet is your default chocolate chip, but when I buy them, I tend
to buy a bag each of several types, including milk chocolate, and we use
them rather indiscriminately here - they're all good and I guess we like
the variety.

There's a fine idea! You could also drink coffee with your peanut
butter and chocolate mixture.

Another thing we like here is a few spoonfuls of nut butter and one
spoonful of fruit preserves, stirred up - it's a frequent snack here
when we want something that's not terrible for us but still want
something a little bit sweet.

Rather like The Chew. I like it.

Just winging it with the chocolate chips. That's cool.

Hmm. I wonder what the consistency of this 2/1 peanut butter/jelly combo is
like.

Thanks, can't say I've seen it. I have stumbled upon the one where
they have a speed contest between kitchen gadgets and the conventional
method they're supposed to replace. That egg scrambler discussed in
another thread should be suggested. The conventional method would win
by a country mile.

That does sound like The Kitchen. They have a segment like
that almost every week. Maybe every week, I don't know.

I don't know what possessed that guy to work hard on that

Don't you know what possessed him? If everyone sends him $18 he can
finish developing this groundbreaking kitchen gadget!

What I'd like to know is who is possessed enough to send this guy money.

Well then, go buy some more. How difficult is that?

I reckon I would have liked the sound of peanut butter and cocoa when
I was 8 y/o too. We used to make all sorts of silly concoctions just
for fun... when Mum wasn't home, of course. :)
