The Michigan cherries are tart. They are
wonderful in salads. Soak them in a
vinaigrette for about 20 minutes before
serving.

Thanks for the soak in vinaigrette idea. I remembered the cherry name
incorrectly: they are called Montmorency and "intense tart flavor" is
written in bold letters on the package.

Oh, yes. Delicious! I grew up in northeast Ohio (a little south of
Cleveland). Also, we had several types of cherry trees on my parents' land,
so I used to eat various types of fresh cherries.
