Hot Chocolate without dairy

Unsweetened chocolate almond breeze is not really too bad warmed up,
with a packet of stevia and some cinnamon. And not too many calories,
around 45 a serving. I tried to add some cocoa but that doesn't mix in
very well. Just sits on top, even after stirring vigorously. And when
I warm it up, then it just kind hangs out on the bottom mostly... I
didn't realize straight cocoa was not sweet, almost bitter by itself.
Or I think I used to know, but forgot.

You can also buy a chocolate flavored dairy free powder. I can't remember
the name of it. It doesn't mix well either and left a film on some of my
mugs that took forever to clean off.

I usually do very simple dairy-free hot chocolate: cocoa, sugar, boiling water. Sometimes Cabdury's Drinking Chocolate, basically cocoa + sugar. For those who want milky dairy-free hot chocolate, soy milk works OK.

I should try the Mexican version: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Champurrado - these days, www makes it easy enough to find masa harina which is scarce in supermarkets here.
