Default Power failure

Last year Sheldon posted a link to an LED emergency light. I bought a
couple as well as two LED night lights that come on bright when the power
goes out. Finally, I got to use them in a real life situation when a
transformer went out last night for about 4 hours.

Theses things are amazing. The small lights were plugging in on each floor
hallway. They give off enough light to easily find your way nearby and to
find the lanterns. The lanterns light a room very well and the batteries
last many hours

Keeping on topic. with these lights and a gas range, I'd be able to cook
anything during a prolonged outage. Forget candles or kerosene or other
flammables. This is the way to go.

You will find many other models and sources.
