Probably the first time I saw one was in the broiler section of our
old O'Keefe & Merrit gas stove in about 1955. Mom fixed 'em about
once a month, they being all the rage, back then.

No.....not those hot dogs with bacon wrapped around. These are new Oscar Meyer Bacon Hot Dogs. Hot dogs made with bacon! They are brand new, I think.

That link says they'll be in stores in time for Memorial Day. That
makes sense, marketing-wise. Could be a limited distribution, a trial
run, which would explain why it's not listed on their website.

Personally, I wouldn't buy them. I love bacon. But IMO Oscar Mayer
*anything* is way overpriced and no better than many other brands available.

I used to love Oscar Meyer hot dogs plain, just dipped in French's mustard. That was a long, long time ago. Now, I love Hebrew National beef franks. Mostly I eat the reduced fat version, but I will splurge and have the high test sometimes. I DO love hot dogs though, maybe better than burgers.

Wish I did not love nitrites and nitrates so much. We like Hebrew
National beef franks, and the package says, "NO fillers or by-products.
NO artificial flavors or colors." I recently looked at the ingredients,
and it says "soy".

It should be illegal to label them hot dogs. I wouldn't ban the
product completely though. They can call them bird dogs.

Like breyer's does not sell ice cream. It's now called frozen dairy
dessert. Taste test on tv on local station, proves the old ice cream was
much better. They went cheap like most others.

I like chicken and pork dogs. With all the mustard and onions, taste ok. I
just don't care for greasy nathans.
