Default Healthy Alternatives to Mashed Potatoes

2 net carbs one cup mashed cauliflower

20 net carbs one cup mashed jicama

33 net carbs in one cup mashed potatoes

37 net carbs in one cup cooked spaghetti

29 net carbs 2 slices Pepperidge Farm Italian bread

200 net carbs one cup plain white sugar

50 net carbs per day is my goal but I cheat often.

Jicama closely resembles potatoes. I never get around to it but I want
to try to dehydrate cauliflower, reduce it to a powder, and then
reconstitute it with cream to resemble mashed potatoes, and add
salt/pepper. I made mashed cauliflower using cream salt pepper and it
was quite good and I believe I could fool anyone provided they had no
idea in advance.

I have only ever had raw Jicama. Not cooked.
