It's always been $3 here.

It hasn't been that price here in 3+ years.
I would like to see $2.50

We don't even have it here in Northern Nevada.

They used to have it at the Stockton store, but haven't looked for it
lately, so don't know.

I don't think they'd have it on the shelves. Every TJ's I've been in
has cases of it stacked in a multi-height display with single bottles
on top of them. If you want to buy a case, you just put one in your
cart and they don't have to run to the back to get it for you.

My friend likes it a lot and I do believe she did buy it by the case, but
I'm not much of a wine drinker at all, and don't know if they still sell it
or not.

If you're in California, they do. You don't even cook with wine? I
buy Two Buck Chuck Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc for cooking
purposes. If you ever want to dip your toe into cooking with wine,
Lucky has 187 ml bottles of Woodbridge Cabernet Sauvignon at a good
price - I forget if the packs are 4 or 6 bottles. I don't like the
other brands I saw in those little bottles, but Woodbridge is good.

I'm in Lodi, wine country, very close to the Woodbridge Winery but I don't
care for wine too much and I always sub chicken stock for wine in recipes. I
did attend wine classes last year so if I do take friends from out of town
wine tasting at the many wineries around me, I won't be a total dunce about
it.

I got my one and only speeding ticket in Lodi. Due to multiple huge
semi-trucks blocking my vision of the signs, I missed the turn off to
Sonora and I was on my way back to the turn off singing that song when
apparently I put the pedal to the metal right in front of the county
sheriff. They sure are bored out there! Six black & whites lined up
behind me on the side of the road and more kept pulling up to ask the
sheriff if everything was okay.

I'm surprised. Even if you don't like wine, what it adds to the flavor
of foods isn't so very "winey", particuarly with white wine. It just
seems to add a layer of complexity that I really love. Of course I
drink wine with it and that helps too.

I've managed to enjoy a lot of great wine while remaining a total dunce
about it. I always knew that "tastes good" was the key, but sorting
out "tastes different" was the fun part. I've been studying wine,
lazy-like, for the past few years, and the smarter I get the better I
like it. Additionally--the more it costs!

I know it's priced differently from state to state. I see it
for a $2.99 "all-in" (i.e., no additional tax) shelf price in
Portland (OR). Could be the $3 price in your location will go
up too. I use the stuff for marinades, stews, some braised
dishes and spaghetti sauce. These usually require 1 to 2 cups
and I'll drink the rest.

I know that, but I that part of their approach was to open them in
college towns and college cities, if you will. Austin certainly
qualifies in the latter category.

TJ's finally got to Albany NY last summer (July?) amid great fanfare.
I did a drive by in Sept and it was still too crowded for me. I know
3 people who have been in it. None will return.

It's on my list to go see 'someday'.

I think there are only two: College Station and San Marcos. I know
there are other towns with colleges; Sherman, San Angelo and larger
areas like Lubbock, Abilene, Waco, Dallas. But I don't think any of
them qualify as college towns or cities. Just my own very bitter and
hard-wrought assessment, having spent some time in damn near every
hamlet in the wasteland, bless its heart.

Though I may have to re-calc my thinking. Primarily a "vibe", one
marker for me was that there had to be at least ONE feasible bookstore
in the town. I guess it's an antiquated marker, as I now have to
search for ONE per state.

"Blue law" is English for Sharia when it comes down to it. Religious
law by someone's religion that might or might not be your religion.
