Default INDIAN cuisine movie

If you love and occasionally cook Indian food as we do, the comedy "Today's
Special" will enchant you. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1153053/
It's a very funny comedy. One of the actresses is Madhur Jafrey, author of
multiple cookbooks on Indian cooking. For the Mrs. and I it is a five star
movie, a comedy you see rarely. I'm sure the food part is real, given Madhur
Jafrey's part in the movie. We may watch it again.

That looks good, I'll put it into the Netflix queue and move it to the
top. Thanks for posting!

Was it streamed? Maybe I should do that then and save a DVD.

After you've watched the movie you should take a look at the interview
between the director and the lead actor. That's on the disk.

Hubby watches all that extraneous stuff. It bores me to death, so I
never watch it - but if you say it's worthwhile then it probably is.
The only reason I prefer DVD's is because I can turn on closed
captioning.

It's been a while since we saw "Bend It Like Beckham," but IIRC, the
ability to cook aloo gobi fits into the plot. The DVD extras include
an aloo gobi cooking demonstration.
