We have noticed now that my daughter doesn't need to eat GF there are >more and more GF products out there. And more restaurants are offering GF >menus. An Italian place near me offers ALL their pizza and pasta dishes in GF versions. No extra charge. My friend with Celiac disease is pleased that Rice and Corn Chex are now GF; she can go into any grocery store and get a "safe" breakfast cereal. (The Rice and Corn Chex were the basis of one of my more successful GF snacks for coffee hour: gluten-free chex mix. I had to shop at the hippie grocery to get the GF pretzels and the vegetarian+gluten free Worcestershire sauce, but everything else was available at a regular grocery.) As a person who feeds people with gluten allergies, I'm delighted that more things are being labeled. Charlotte -- |
