I like Stouffers. I can't find it anymore, but I really liked
their vegetable lasagna. I like the meat lasagna. The pizza,
too.

About the same here, I don't have them all that often, but you
like having one or two in the freezer. Sometimes I have one
divided as a side dish.

Especially if you put them on a monitor. That wouldn't work
any more.

I buy the ones that are 4 for $10 on sale. For store bought, the
lasagna is decent. They have the larger size on sale at the same
price as the small one, so I get the large and share it with the lady
I eat lunch with every day.

I take leftovers for lunch, but once or twice a month, I hit the
freezer instead.

I grab what looks good at the time. Swedish meatballs, chicken,
meatloaf are OK.

Stouffer's makes the same flavors in their Lean Cuisine line and they're
pretty good, though high in sodium as others have pointed out. But if
you don't make them all of your meals you're fine.

Some are only available as Lean Cuisine, the shrimp alfredo comes to
mind. Overall, not a bad frozen dinner, IF you can catch them on sale
at a deep discount (min 50% off). Some, you should steer clear of. Don't
waste yer money on the chicken enchilada dinners, particularly the large
family size. It's 3/4ths rice!

That's the excuse I gave myself for years... what if my car breaks down?
Then it hit me... who would I call? Most of my neighbors are seasonal
residents. The friend who lives next door travels a lot... I should know, I
cat-sit for her and she frequently runs out of cat food while I'm doing so
My auto insurance does cover roadside assistance so I guess that's who I'd
call. The thing is, there are still plenty of pay phones down here. I have
quarters in my car. I can make the short walk to a pay phone. Meanwhile,
that wasted $35 a month will go towards groceries.

It's wasted only if you deem it so.

I had an accident with my mom in the car. I was 100 yds away from my
home phone, which I did run to use. That still put me away from my
injured mom for a least 10 mins. There are stretches of roadway where
I'm miles from the closest phone. I now carry a pre-paid cell phone for
emergency use. It costs only about $6.50 mo. That's still $28.50 fer
groceries, yet provides instant emergency phone access. I do not
consider that $6.50 wasted in any sense of the word.

Yup- that's why we have 4 chickens in our yard. I rarely eat eggs, but
these are a definite improvement over what is found in the stores.
