Mmmm. That sounds good, I'd use parmesan or something like that.
Would you please post your recipe?

I love cooking with wine.
Sometimes I even put it in the food.

Sure!

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

Title: Xxcarol's Cheddar Onion Pepper Bread
Categories: Xxcarol, Breadmaker
Yield: 8 Servings

1 1/4 c Milk
1 tb Butter
1 tb Sugar
1 ts Salt
1/8 ts Shichimi (can use paprika)
1/8 ts Dry mustard powder
3 1/2 c Flour, white breadmakers
3/4 c Grated cheddar cheese
1/4 c Grated red onion
2 ts Yeast
1 ts Black pepper

SkyHigh bread! Add the ingredients listed and set to 'french' if you
have that setting. Otherwise, 'normal' will do.

Shichimi is a very common Japanese spice mix of hot chile powders.
You can use a powdered paprika or a hotter powdered chile for nearly
the same effect.

This one was made to go with a pot of potato soup, of a german base
where the potato melts away into the soup and there are minimal bits
of carrot and cabbage about.

From the Sasebo Japan kitchen of: xxcarol, 26DEC2003

MMMMM

Thanks, Carol! I will be changing it quite a bit, but wanted to see
what proportions you use.

No problem! I shift it about too as no recipe is always exactly what i
want at that moment next when i make it. I use them as guidelines.
