Lin made a tasty squash-blossom soup from _Rick Bayless's Mexican Kitchen_.
The recipe can be seen at

(She sent koko the recipe and thought maybe koko was also making it tonight;
maybe it'll show up on koko's blog one of these days.)

We simply accompanied it with jalapeño-cheese hush puppies. (Just kidding!
It was jalapeño-cheese BREAD.) I'm working tonight, so I drank milk with the
meal.

Oh, darn... you got me all excited for a moment. LOL

Caramelizing onions at the moment, that onion soup thread got my
juices going for it. I'm going to try baking the bread/crouton with
cheese on it separately as "somebody" mentioned doing in that thread.
Cheese will be whatever white I have on hand, *except* the white
cheddar (haven't assessed the situation yet).

Unfortunatly I don't have all the ingredients so I couldn't make it.
The photo she posted on the "book of faces" looks wonderful, I can't
wait to make it.
