We went to Candelas in San Diego. It was awesome. Pictures to follow on
Facebook.

San Diego has some of the best eateries ever. If it weren't in Calif,
I'd be trying to move there!!!

We had Clam Spaghetti with Angel Hair pasta and a killer salad, right
here at home.

Don't know who I want to win now that the Phillies aren't in it.
Neither team has won a world series.

The rock cornish game hen and cauliflower look great but that maggoty
looking side looks very unappetizing... really should stay away from
those rice blend packets... there is scarely any wild rice and that
purported brown rice really does appear as maggots, I can imagine them
pulsating.

You know what Yogi Berra said: It ain't over 'til it's over! I won't
crow and you won't eat crow until we win 4.

Default dinner, game two, world series - 2010

chicken "under a brick"
pan-roasted broccolini
tomato relish with mint, shallots, and lime juice

We'll be drinking a bottle of sauvignon blanc.

maggots on your plate must be a familiar situation for you.

The blend is perfect for me. Wild rice is okay, but not alone and I
think brown rice is a perfect match for it. The dried mushrooms were
perfect with the rice blend.

My yard got too dry... no summer rains here and watering was at a
minimum. Only the fittest survived.

It all sounds good, thanks. If it can survive a dry Texas summer
without any help, it should do well here. If you have any oregano
seeds, gather a few of those for me too. I'm pretty sure it will do
okay here, Mexican (ornamental) salvia does. I have unwatered
rosemary and edible sages that are doing just fine. The neighbor
throws a little water on my marjoram and thyme when she waters her
lawn by hand, so they survive too. Maybe I should put the onion seeds
up there and see how it does.
