Then, as has been pointed out so much: "The problem with Socialism is
that eventually you run out of other people's money..." the french
realize their mollycoddled retirement at 60 system was just not going
to work. Result: everyone goes on strike in France!

Hmmm maybe they are making a point. The US refused to come and help them
out in WWI. The US refused to come and help them out in WW II. The US
refused to send air supoprt to help them out at Diem Bien Phu. They had
helped the US to gain its indpendence from Britain US was never there
to help them in their time of need.
