The writer is an idiot.

The suggestions about soap are silly because none of today's cleaning
products are soap, they're *detergents*. And unless one takes into
account water *hardness* they are just talking drivel... machines
don't foul from modern detergents, they foul from hard water. And the
suggestion about extending the life of the machines by not using them
is DUH... you can extend the life of most anything by non use... yoose
gals don't wear your bras except on special occasions you'll extend
their life by some twenty years, same for yoose thirty year old guys
who have the same condom in your wallet since you were 12. I bet Stan
never leaves home without a packet of Heinz in his wallet! LOL

The only sensible suggestion was to keep your drier lint free... but
should have gone further by warning never to leave home or go to bed
with the drier still running,
