Several years ago after our Maytag bit the dust we purchased a large
capacity Whirlpool. I am/have been thrilled with the performance What I like
most:

The silverware separator (no spots on flatware)
The silverware being on the door
The fold down bottom racks for large items
The top rack easily holds a Dutch oven (stainless)
The delay settings.

This unit has not skipped a beat in at least 6 years, maybe more.

I've had my dishwasher for god knows how long and only discovered last
week that the flip down "shelf" (turns the glasses rack into two
levels) raises and lowers. Whoda thunk?

Even to the age of the machine, it sounds like the same model
I have. No complaints at all and I appreciate all the same features
that you do. The silverware caddy can be moved onto the bottom
rack if one was so inclined. I'm not.

That makes me laugh. I found out when I was at a friend's house.
It's very convenient, coffee cups below, large serving spoons/
whatever on the flip down shelf. I had never even noticed it before.

(laugh) Keeps life interesting, right? Like the time I held down the
unlock button on my car key fob thinking it was the trunk open
button. Well, now I know that if you do that, the sunroof and the
windows will open. Alrighty then. At least it wasn't raining.

If your car does that, then you can roll up windows and close your
sunroof w/o opening the door. If your door has a keyhole, put the key
in it, turn it in the "lock" direction and hold it. You can do it
with a keyless entry too, just hold the lock button down.

There are so many bells, buttons, and whistles on today's cars it
wouldn't surprise me if I got rid of a car ten years from now without
having used half of them.

My '08 Prius has, on the center of the steering wheel (just outside the
airbag?) controls for the sound system and a/c, less than 12 inches from
the same controls on the dash. It may even have cruise control buttons
there. I haven't noticed. If I had to blow the horn I don't think I
could find the right spot to press to do so. Maybe I should keep (on
the front seat?) one of those old fashioned clown chrome horns with the
big red squeeze bulb to use if I ever need the horn.

Believe me, I HAVE needed to blow the car horn and couldn't figure out
where it was.

LOL! I use the horn so rarely that I have trouble finding it.

I bet, as with me, that is because you are not a person who honks
ALL the time.
