Those aren't corndogs. Corndogs are deep-fried.

Those are hotdog-stuffed waffles.

Do you have any idea how it works? Does it reheat commercial corn
dogs or do you put batter and a hotdog in there?

Does that matter for the outfit selling those things? I'd like to see
their 'bottom line' of profits though ;) I bet a lot of 'folks' will
buy it (cough, cough)!

See what I mean, Bob? Isn't the picture obvious enough? And who would be
dumb enough to think they would sell something to reheat corn dogs
(especially ones with those markings)?!?!

That's just what I was thinking! Besides, hot dogs are so bad for you
that you might as well just dip 'em in the batter and deep fry
em!

Especially made with those "healthy" turkey/chicken hot dogs. You know,
mechanically separated, 60% fat, 30% water. I'd rather be a vegan!

Well, it DID get all 4 and 5 start reviews and maybe some ppl WANT to
live on corn dogs. I have never eaten one - I guess I haven't lived.

I wonder if it's hot enough to make phallic waffles. Surely, there
has to be another use.

Corn dogs are good but not worth another appliance. State Fair brand
is easy to find. Just heat um up and be done with it. There's been
many discussions here about them and it seems the trick of getting the
batter to stick is best left to scientists and a factory.

I have no trouble with corn dogs.

http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/710...ndsausages.jpg
(the fatter ones are hot links)

It's onions rings I have trouble getting the batter to stick to. I use a
think, not thick batter, and the batter fries right off the onions as soon
as they hit the oil.

Do you do anything to the hot dog first?

I slice the onions and toss them in flour in a zip-lock and let it sit
in the fridge for a few hours. The longer the better. That works for
me. The batter sticks just fine. I even tried that with hot dogs but
it didn't work.

Nope. I can see how people may have a problem with the slimy skins, but I
didn't. That was the only time I've ever done them.

That would probably work. I'm always too impatient. And the buttermilk
soak never did anything for me anyway (I didn't always soak first).
usually I just slice and batter.

Maybe sanding the hot dogs would work. If I needed to make batter stick to
dogs, I would try roughing up the skins a little. Maybe take a clean wire
brush and just tap it all over and poke dozens of shallow holes in the dog
with the intent of roughing up the surface. I wouldn't do that with fatty
raw sausages, though.

Well that was good beginners luck then.

It's been the best method I've tried so far.

>I'm always too impatient.

I have that disease!!! Too often I lose interest in things that have
to sit for awhile. I started a giardiniera project a couple months
ago and found the jar of peppers sitting in vinegar and salt in the
back of the fridge Friday. I completely forgot about it.

I tried the buttermilk thing and it was worse. It doesn't make sense
to me.

Hopefully they're the beef dogs and not the poultry. Poultry corn dogs

The web site doesn't say what the classic has but I'd say no. the
beef ones are obvious.

It's a perfect gift! Clutter up someone else's kitchen cabinets,
especially if they live in a small apartment. I may buy two...
