I think Koko's the one who scored Thuringer. Look he http://www.schreinersfinesausages.co...0a229fcc8 70d http://preview.tinyurl.com/2ctqznc We had the breakfast sausage (Koko makes a mean breakfast: scrambled eggs with cheese, sausage and fried new potatoes), then we set out for Williams Sonoma. Scored a really cool set of 3 silpat measuring cups. Thought they'd be perfect for squeezing ingredients into the KA bowl when it's running. Terry "Squeaks" Pulliam Burd -- "If the soup had been as warm as the wine, if the wine had been as old as the turkey, and if the turkey had had a breast like the maid, it would have been a swell dinner." Duncan Hines To reply, remove "spambot" and replace it with "cox" |

The whole state of Wisconsin seems like it's paved in dairy and beef sausages. It's great to visit the place. And close enough to Chicago to bounce there for a Saturday day trip with lunch and shopping. Lot's of excellent brats between Chicago and Milwaukee, no matter what they are called. |

Driving conditions must have improved since the last time I drove to Wisconsin from Chicago... of course, I was headed to central Wisc. not the boarder. I thought of it as a long trip and there was no way I'd turn around and go back on the same day. -- Forget the health food. I need all the preservatives I can get. |

Probably all to the good. I've been suspicious of Thueringer food since I ordered what turned out to be steak tartare, only from raw pork. If you see Thueringer Mett on the menu, BACK AWAY. |

This thread is getting confusing. Thuringer and bratwurst are not the same. Lou |
