Alcohol is empty calories and calories still count.
You CAN drink and still lose weight if the math works out, and low
carbing has worked for many. ;-)

Overall tho', I feel that you have to do what works for you and that
varies by the individual.

I've lost a lot of weight and I still drink, but I avoid sugar like the
plague, and seriously limit starches.

The DMD came out in 65 the year I was married and the year I started to gain
weight. Hmmmm coincidence????

When I need to the DMD works for me it's a easy way to drop 10 to 15 lbs
when I need to. Like you said different strokes for different folks.

Yep me too. If I eat whatever I want and deik what ever I want I stabalize
about 15 to 20 lbs heavier then I feel comfortable being. Once you
understand the basics the DMD becomes very workable.

As does any eating plan that you actually follow. ;-)
It's kinda like a monetary budget. You get out of it what you put in to
it.
