Just a dollar? Not bad...

As it so happens, I ordered MTAOFC a few weeks ago and I too recoiled
with disgust at the editions with the Julie and Julia crap on the cover.
I kept looking around until I found a hardback edition with the original
cover. Actually, I got the two book set, volumes one and two. I imagine
they will keep me busy in the kitchen for quite some time

Nice choices there. Not that I am familiar with those books, but they
sound like something that would interest me.

It's a very good idea to get the two volume set of "Mastering the Art.....".
They belong side by side. The index for volume 2, includes everything that
is in volume 1[boldface for vol. 1 and normal print for vol. 2]. You
basically have a larger cookbook in two volumes.

Agreed, well worth getting the 2nd volume... also might as well have it
as it doesn't add much to the overall cost - at least here in Oz anyway.
