With all their drama they had us thinking we'd be snowed in for a week, but in fact the northern Catskills is a huge snowbelt, a couple three feet of snow here is like nothing, everyone here is well prepared, with snow plows on tractors, with monster snowblowers (I can mount a monster snowblower on my tractor too), the highway department here has machines that can clear the roads of a dozen feet of snow without even breathing hard. And here with all the soap opera sobfest we barely got a 1/2" dusting, in fact there is no snow at all now. Just wait, when the news says nothing we can wake up in the AM to 30" of white stuff, drifts 6 feet+ high... this was all about the wussy DC pansy asses because they don't have any snow removal equipment... they should be ashamed of their usual impotence.... how is dumbo eared obomination going to deal with terrorists when he can't deal with the snowflake fairy... holy shit, DC has been shut down for like a week over like hardly no snow at all. Well, believe it or not... we woke up to 5 inches of snow this morning... here in LOUISIANA!!!!!! I doubt that there is a snow plow in the entire state... or salt trucks. They have closed a portion of two of the main highways here due to ice. To say this is unusual would be an understatement. But tomorrow it will get back up into the 50's so bye-bye snow. George L |

The trick to dealing with heavy snowfall is to clear the snow several times, don't let it accumulate. |
