And you have experience!

I know what you mean about shoveling compacted snow. I've shoveled away
plow berms from the front of the driveway a few times when we lived in
Colorado...

Heavy *hit!

I suppose so, but the shelter I have is clearly marked not to be out in
snow or heavy storms, not to mention I am away a lot and might not be
there to be so smart;)

Scrumptious... my cat's wouldn't have eaten any if they had any
doubts.. they filled their tanks until they just had to sleep. I
gorged on perfectly prepared roast beef to the point where I could
only eat half my baked tater, and I ate all my lucious 'sparaguys but
I never bothered with any salad until the next day... everytime I cook
a roast beef I outdo my previous one.

They'd rather their disgusting slimey looking fercocktah concocktions
than *real* food... just proves their TIADness. If they had as many
functioning brain cells as they waste dollars on incompatible
ingredients they'd be foodtv chefs! LOL-LOL

The only negative is that whenever I indulge in 'sparaguys my pee
stinks for two days... even makes my peepee smell so foul I can barely
sleep with myself... twice in the middle of the night I had to do the
birdbath thingie with a warm wash cloth and Softsoap Aroma Therapy -
Pure essential oils of Mandarin & Ginger, Green Tea Extract... makes
me so thankful I'm circumsized, can't even imagine the gals! hehe

Yup, I've been plowing snow with that tractor seven winters now, I
have it down to a science.

>I know what you mean about shoveling compacted snow.

The other problem is that with my set up the plow is way out in front
so it doesn't float to the degree of a pick up truck plow, when the
tractor tires are on compacted snow I have to constantly lower and
raise the plow.

>I've shoveled away
>plow berms from the front of the driveway a few times when we lived in
>Colorado...

With my Landcruiser I can easily roll right over the plow berms, but
still my seven foot plow nudges them away from the foot of my
driveway+with no effort, I wouldn't bother but I have to prepare for
visiters. I have regular snow shovels and two snowplow shovels too
(no lifting), with light snows does my driveway and walkways
effortlessly, I have the 30" and the 24"... these are wonderful for
clearing snow on smooth paved surfaces:
http://www.amazon.com/Garant-YSP30L-.../dp/B000A26FPC

I don't bother starting up the tractor unless there's like 4" of
snow... with light snows I let the same guy who put it there take it
away. The way the news is nowadays, like all the other news,
they hype up the weather forecasts out of all proportion. With all
their drama they had us thinking we'd be snowed in for a week, but in
fact the northern Catskills is a huge snowbelt, a couple three feet of
snow here is like nothing, everyone here is well prepared, with snow
plows on tractors, with monster snowblowers (I can mount a monster
snowblower on my tractor too), the highway department here has
machines that can clear the roads of a dozen feet of snow without even
breathing hard. And here with all the soap opera sobfest we barely
got a 1/2" dusting, in fact there is no snow at all now. Just wait,
when the news says nothing we can wake up in the AM to 30" of white
stuff, drifts 6 feet+ high... this was all about the wussy DC pansy
asses because they don't have any snow removal equipment... they
should be ashamed of their usual impotence.... how is dumbo eared
obomination going to deal with terrorists when he can't deal with the
snowflake fairy... holy shit, DC has been shut down for like a week
over like hardly no snow at all. I'm positive that the obomination
kidlets know it's daddy who has labia where he should have testicles.

If it takes two days to clear, you are not drinking enough water. Many
people are chronically dehydrated. When I eat asparagus, it only takes
maybe 8 hours to clear. Maximum. I consume about 1 gallon of water per
day.

Well, believe it or not... we woke up to 5 inches of snow this
morning... here in LOUISIANA!!!!!! I doubt that there is a snow plow in
the entire state... or salt trucks. They have closed a portion of two
of the main highways here due to ice. To say this is unusual would be
an understatement.

But tomorrow it will get back up into the 50's so bye-bye snow.

That's funny... that rube goldberg is a joke, right?

For the rare heavier snows with your relatively small property you'd
be much better off with an electric snow blower:
http://tinyurl.com/yg4xxu6
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...0P?...toolong/

You probably more normaly get occasional light snows... then the
snowpusher shovel will be all you need... with tight quarters all you
need is the smallest width... those are very heavy shovels, not
designed for lifting, they're purposely made heavy so you don't need
to exert pressure to keep it on the pavement.

The trick to dealing with heavy snowfall is to clear the snow several
times, don't let it accumulate.

We still have a couple of similar ones out in the shed. They are great
for shoveling leaves into compost piles too. <g> We brought them with us
from Colorado.

I'm afraid to say that 3" of snow will shut San Antonio completely down
for the entire day until it melts. <g> South Texans are not prepped for
snow...

nor this stuff when it hits every few years:

http://picasaweb.google.com/OMPOmelet/IceStorm2007#

I'm glad I still have two pairs of oil lamps when we have one of these.
There is an old brass pair mounted over my kitchen sink and a pair of
glass free standing ones. These lamps are over 40 years old and still
are just fine. :-) The power goes out due to blown transformers all
over town so it's out for a day or two.

I'm pretty sure DC has a mayor and city government that is supposed to
deal with stuff like that. It's really NOT part of the president's job
description. We didn't elect Superman because he doesn't exist.

And it's hardly "hardly no snow at all" when a city that is used to an
inch or two of snow receives 3-4 feet of it in close consecutive storms.

That's like saying your area should be prepared for multiple major
earthquakes or tornadoes all the time. Not a wise use of resources.

It started snowing in Louisiana yesterday morning and it will probably
melt tomorrow. No shovels or plows needed, just a little sunshine.

Not talking about outside the capitol district, that's mostly ghetto
and loser parasites anyway, would be best they disappeared... I'm
talking about inside the capital district, that needs to operate no
matter the weather, and that's 100% the president's responsibility.

er... over 30 inches on Friday/Saturday and over 20 inches

Around the White House and the Mall and such is the jurisdiction of the
National Park Service, they get the very *best* in po - leece protection,
snow removal and the like...

Outside of the National Park Police's jurisdiction DC is a VILE slum and one
of the worst managed metro areas in the country. If you removed the Federal
Government presence from DC it'd be a worse slum than Detroit, Watts, St.
Louis, or the Sout' Side of Chicawgo...

I've spent plenty of time in DC, once you get outside of the perimeter of
the Mall and other highly secure areas you might as well be in the deepest
jungles of the Congo, its absolutely Turd World...in fact the residents of
the Congo would treat you FAR better than the Welfare Jungle Bunnies that
make up most of the population of DC...

There's a reason Congress won't let DC govern itself...outside of the
Federal presence it's a veritable Confederacy of Imbeciles...

OH yeah, let's kill all of the "parasites" that Sheldumb dislikes.
Do you have any idea what the country would be like if Sheldumb
got to kill anyone he didn't approve of?
Do you have any idea what kind of person would advocate killing
people who are in the "ghettos?"
