It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that almost 100% (that
means "almost everything") of the stuff on infommercials is crap. I
give a slide to juicers, which probably work as advertised, but the
whole notion that "juice" is good for you is, again, crap.

Consumer Reports quoted Larry Nusbaum who said
about half the products deliver on their promise,
30 percent deliver but are overpriced, and the
rest are junk.

I have a Ronco rotissiere, and it has worked great
for many years, one of my best purchases. However,
I purchased it at retail (Target). The Tilia vacuum
sealers were advertised in informercials at the
beginning, and I bought one for my mom which seems
to work just fine, though I also bought that at
retail (Fry's Electronics).

Do you have a "Good Feet" store near you? I know people who swear by
their fitting....mine come from a podiatrist, and are custom made, but
my insurance pays for them.

A young woman saw her doctor to see what could be done to increase her
bust size.

Dr Smith suggested an exercise which had to be done twice a day. It
involved moving her arms the same way you'd do a jumping jack while

was time for her to exercise. She looked around and didn't see anyone
so she did it in the aisle. As she finished up a man came around the

She was embarrassed but was able to ask how he knew this?

There are "As Seen on TV" stores in many malls. The Boerner V-Slicer we
have was purchased at one of them.

There are a lot of "As Seen on TV" products at Bed, Bath and Beyond.
The Aerogarden we have was purchased at one of them. I think the Bullet
mini-blender was also purchased at B,B&B.

"Hey look, there's an arc welding set on this informercial." "NO!" ;^)
