Got me jones'n for some bean(ish) soup. I didn't have all the 'from
scratch' ingredients, so had to settle for one of those Manischewitz soup tubes with added lentils, plus carrots & scallions. Started with stock made from a garlic roast chicken carcass. http://tinypic.com/r/f9dueo/6 2-3 hours over low heat, then added the fresh veggies: http://tinypic.com/r/2077yg7/6 Ladled out & slurp! http://tinypic.com/r/10xeoer/6 Van |

"Chemo the Clown" > wrote in message news:a4f452da-a676-44b3-8e3e- Looks good...'specially for a cold day. Yup, it was. I try to not go out on cold days, tho - B U T took the wife to a nearby short-order restaurant for breakfast (ya listening ANDY?). Ordered an "oscar omelet". Regular 3-egg plain omelet folded over with imitation crabmeat, 3 fresh asparagus stalks on top & hollandaise sauce over all. Served up with toast for just $7.50. What a deal. Didn't take a pic. Soup was/is tasty. Thanks, Shel! Van |
