Default gum base?

This is my first visit to this group. I am interested in buying gum base to
do an activity with my 8th grade science students. I have searched on the
net for sources of this ingredient but can only find mentions of it in
recipies for chewing gum. Does anyone know where I can buy this?

I am in the US.

It's not unusual for a substance that is widely used for one purpose to
be also useful for another. That may well be true for the substance
called "gum base". If what you want is not the same as the gum base used
in the manufacture of chewing gum, we need a better description of it in
order to help.

It seems that you want to follow a recipe of some sort -- this is after
all, a cooking group -- and gum base is one of the ingredients. Is there
a way to check with the source of the recipe? http://www.gumbase.com/

Thanks for replying. I dug a little bit more and found a source
online. If anyone else is interested, here is the link. It is pretty
inexpensive. I should be able to have a lot of fun w/ my students for
a small investment.
