roasting meat question

Hi sorry if I am off topic or posting in the wrong place.

I have a book here which says to roast beef at 250 degrees for 45 minutes.

I bought myself a bolar blade roast which I thought I would cook up for the
family for dinner tonight.

What temp do I put the oven ? (same as for the beef ?)
And would I cook it for longer ? (my mum did say cook it for 1 1/2 hours)
What are the advantages //dis advantages of using a roasting bag for cooking
the roast ?

Any adivce would be great

Thanks

Nic

Whom just put the roast in the oven and hopes someone replies soon

You need to specify C or F temperatures. A roast will not cook in 45
minutes at 250F. Weight of roast is a factor -- directions usually
mention X minutes per pound at Y temperature. Listen to your mother.
