How do you get the icepops out of the icepop mold?
 

I should have asked this at the beginning of the summer. I have store
bought icepop molds but I always have trouble getting them out of the
molds to eat them.

How do you get the icepops out of the icepop mold? Can I add something
to the recipes or to the moulds?

Simple! Coat them with Crisco!

Actually, I haven't made them for 40 years or so, but when I did, I
dipped the mold in warm water for a moment, then just papped them back
in the freezer for a few minutes on waxed paper.

Actually you were correct the first time, plastic freezer trays need to be
seasoned; lightly coat with vegetable oil and let stand over night. Next day
send through your dishwasher, or wash by hand if that's your thing, and they'll
be permanently non-stick.

I just warm them in my hand for a moment, then gently squeeze the mold
and they pop right out. But I have pretty warm hands too...
