Default ping Charlie!

Charlie,

I emailed you last week hoping you would be so kind as to share your
cookin planning lists with us. We're planning a southwest cookin, I'll
be hosting, and since I won't have you here to help coordinate, we'll
need all the help we can get. :-)

TIA,

Rita - I know you moved to AZ, but did you ever find my picnic basket?
I have friends in Phoenix you could hand it off to or just mail it to
me (will reimburse expenses).

So, how's AZ? You were missed at the Poway cookin!

Hi Terry,

I did find your picnic basket. It's sitting at my new house. (I'm
still in the old place.) I could hand it off or mail it, you let me
know. Either is fine with me.

Thanks for your patience on the picnic basket. Wish I could least say
I've been enjoying it. No, it's gone from closet to car trunk to
storage to closet.

AZ is hot, very, very hot. It's been pretty nice the last couple of
days. Beautiful thunderstorm this evening. Temps in the high 90s, low
100s. That I can handle... well, now that I've lived through 114
degrees. 8^)

I drove to San Diego the weekend before the Poway cookin for business,
and just couldn't make myself drive it again the following weekend.

Maybe you & Bill would like to join our southwest cookin? We'd love to
have you.

Rita

Thanks Charlie. Didn't mean to put the rush on you, just wanted to
give these guys an idea of what the coordination of a cookin entails.

I have been to several cook-ins, does that help? I have been to one
Poway cook-in, one Sacramento cook-in (at Tammy's house) and one bay
area cook-in (at Meg Worley's place).

I hope we can get some California folks over here.

I'd say that counts for a lot, Christine! I haven't been to any cook-ins
before.

I hope so, too!

Mailing it would probably be easiest all the way around. Just haul it
into a Pak'n'Mail and let me know the cost. I'll send you a check.

I'm a native Arizonan, so you don't have to tell *me* about heat!
OTOH, I'm from Douglas, which is always cooler than Phoenix, but
"cool" is a relative term when you're talking 112° as opposed to 102°!

And we'd love to come if our (usually conflicting) litigation
calendars would allow. When? I have a foodie friend in Phoenix who
might also be interested. She used to post here quite a bit, Anne
Christopherson. I'll put a flea in her ear.
