Default How many pots do you really need?

My fiance just moved into a new apartment and he's setting it up for
us. I'm going to be doing the cooking, so he asked me how much
cookware I really need... I said that the bare minimum was a large
deep frypan, one large saucepan, one smaller saucepan, and a steamer,
with an omelette-pan as a luxury cause I love my eggs...

What do you think? What else are the bare essentials for an empty
apartment? He's got a 4-place dinner set for us that a friend donated,
but so far that's it! We're on a shoe-string budget here folks, so
while specialised whizzers, dicers and slicers might be nice we can't
have them...
