I'm making pasta tonight. Looking to find something yummy to have on the
side. Am tired of the traditional salad, or if not having salad usually have
green beans or broccoli on the side. Anyone have anything creative and
different to suggest??? Thanks in advance.

If you mean pasta and tomato style sauce why not just go with some
nice hot garlic bread? You didn't say if you were "headed" toward any
specific taste or "flair". I've always found a nice plate of pasta
with sauce and garlic bread (made from fresh garlic of course)
satisfied me very nicely.

Canned or fresh fruit...

That makes a refreshing change once in awhile for my Brunches that I
make. My usual side is fresh diced Avocado and Tomatoe served on fresh
baby spinach leaves.

We get burned out on it after a few days. :-P

What kind of pasta and sauce do you have in mind? If its a traditional
style tomato sauce with spaghetti or other substantial pasta, I go with
the other suggestions that a side dish isn't really necessary, just some
good garlic bread with the pasta should be satisfying.

i had the same problem the other night. i salted some zuchinni slices, let
em sit in the fridge for a half hour, and then wiped em off. sauteed them
with a teeny bit of olive oil and a chopped shallot. turned up the heat at
the end and added a splash of sherry and some chopped fresh basil, and
cooked it till the basil wilted. it was *really* good.
