... : I went by my favorite raodside stand this morning and they had a huge selection : of very yummy looking fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and red onions, so, I bought : several of each. I am having my usual gathering of friends over tonight for : Sunday dinner, and wondered if anyone had any creative ideas using these? Maybe : a big salad or relish or something? I have pretty much every spice and herb : known to man (fresh basil, oregano, parsley and thyme on the windowsill). I'd : love to hear your ideas. : : Sandra ========= Hey Sandra! Do you happen to have any luck with Rosemary? I can grow virtually anything *except* rosemary. The silly little needley leaves take one look at me and begin to drop off and turn black. <shrug> I dunno. I can grow basil and sage like they're weeds... Oh, and lavender is the same as rosemary with me. I've tried about 3 times with each and can't grow it to save my life. I've tried them in potted plants and have tried them in sunny garden spots... nothing, nada, nil; unless you include 'dead'. Maybe I'll have better luck with them in Florida. I sure couldn't grow them in Illinois! -- Cyndi (participating this year at: http://www.heartwalk.kintera.org/2004polkFL ) |
