Almost forgot to mention a head's up from my baking bacon experience
on T-day. Make sure the pan you are using to bake the bacon is pretty heavy duty. I used a rather flimsy cookie sheet. When it got up to full heating temp (350F), it warped from the heat and kinda twisted lengthwise. When I came in to pull it out, I realized that all the oil had run into one corner of the now warped pan and was about to overflow onto the heating coils. Yikes! Coulda' been a real bummer there. Next time I'll use the broiler pan or my cast iron skillet. nb |
