Leila's untimely demise

Thanks to all of you who confirmed that this was indeed
the taboulleh princess. I'll make a batch, (of course with
a LOT of parsley) whip up some mezze and raise a glass of
raki/ouzo to her memory. Her time on r.f.c was limited,
and I noted her absence with some disappointment. I am
sorrowed that this was perhaps part of the reason.

Go fly, girl!

Actually, she was a prolific poster and very active on the group, but
that was a *long* time ago.

I think partly, but two small children, going back to grad school and
political activism took a lot of time also.

ObFood: Leila worked at CCA (California Culinary Academy) for some
time. She gave some good advice about what to expect and what not to
expect, especially when it came time to find a job.

Thanks, Dan.

I'll make that *two* glasses. Seems to me that she posted for
maybe 2-3 years, and, as you say, years ago, and then suddenly
went absent. I'll be downloading her recipes and will make
her dishes with pride. She had a feisty manner, AIR, but that
was to be expected of a princess, after all. I enjoyed her
posts, always to the point and in good humor. She deserved
the title.

If I remember from her blog entries, while she was dealing with
cancer treatment she was also attending more writing classes and
had begun to re-edit a book she wrote years before. She also
dealt with the death of her beloved father during that time.
There weren't enough hours in the day nor years on the calendar
for her to accomplish all her goals.
