Hah. Arnold has shown just how small his testicles are by the way he's
run his current office.

What a disappointment!
He's supposed to be a republican.

LOL! I know, I know.

Here's the story...
1. Background: I really *did* care about finding a real NY bagel (at
least I knew what the tail I was chasing looked & tasted like). When
I figured out they were as ephemeral as snipes, I stopped looking.
2. Not one to be fooled twice, and seeing what Roma pizzas look like
(and taste like) in general... I'm going with what I have seen and
eaten. I have the general idea, even if I haven't found the perfect
pizza yet. Lemme tell ya they're pretty damned good.

My spirit of adventure will kick in when I visit other ports and
compare their pizzas to Rome's.

Until then, it's bruschetta and veal.... and how much they salt
everything. Oh, baby.... Romans love SALT and they over salt the
weirdest things. I have yet to remember to tell them not to salt
tomatoes (who in their right mind does that?).... and tonight, I had
an innocent green salad tonight, the kind I would normally be quite
fond of, BUT on first bite - it's salted! I've physically blown up
from all the salt they put in/on food. Although I know I'm not fond
of "cruise food", I can hardly wait for it now.

I'm not going to play that game, Steve. If pizza as a whole isn't
good, then it isn't. So far I've like what I've gotten. I'm staying
in the "first district" and I don't remember what it's called. So
shoot me.

My worst meal was tonight. I want.ed to eat close to the hotel
because we ate close to our hotels in Paris and London and were not
disappointed. Every late afternoon and evening there was
entertainment in the street and lots of people who sounded like locals
sitting at the cafes talking. I wanted to eat at the place two doors
down from our hotel but it turned out to be a real dud tonight. I'm
pretty sure the food and wine is that way all the time. I NEVER send
wine back, but they served swill... and that was just the beginning.
Oh, well. That's life. You take the good with the bad.

Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. Having been to Europe three
times I have to say that my worst food experiences have been in Italy.
Granted, I was only there for two days. The continental breakfast was
disappointing. We had sandwiches and pizza for lunch in a train station.
the pizza was the worst I have ever had and the sandwiches were almost
as disappointing. Our dinner(in Venice) was okay, but I paid a small
fortune fore it..... $315 for three people ( 1993) For that price it
should have been a hell of a lot better.

I have had disappointing meals in Germany and France as well, but there
were so many others that were so much better. Having travelled in
Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and
Estonia, Italy is the only country that I had no interest in returning
to. While some of the others were relatively expensive, and some very
expensive, the others at least offered quality. I found Italy to be very
expensive and low quality.

I don't believe anybody here in California thinks of him as a "real"

Perhaps Maria (a Democrat) has been a good influence on him. The
Republicans in the California legislature had the ability to block the
passing of any kind of reasonable balanced budget, and were prepared to
do so. Arnold made the big push to compromise and work something out.

Most salad dressing is horrendously oversalted.

But the point is, as expressed differently above, he never claimed to be
anything else. In the election to replace recalled governor Gray Davis,
the Democrats were running left-wing socialist Cruz Bustamante. The
Republican vote was split between at least a dozen candidates; I lost
count. Arnold came in with name recognition and money, as the middle of
the road candidate that could beat Bustamante if people united behind
him. That was good enough for most Republicans and a sizable chunk of
Democrats.

Since then the Democrats have never stopped complaining that he's a
Republican, and the Republicans have never stopped complaining that he's
not enough of one. Well, that's exactly what people voted for.

I have no problem other than that there is nothing in sf's post to
indicate that they are where they are. No picture on the rfc site, and
no picture of them in front of the hotel or in front of any of the
pictures they stole. Plus none of the pictures have anything in italian
or otherwise. Everyone knows what you problem is no legs, and no brain.

Actually I do travel I just never cared to go to Italy or Europe. I have
been to the Bahamas (Nassau), Caiman Islands, and Bonaire among similar
places. Where have YOU been to Ms Jetsetter? Traveling to Steve's to get
butt****ed doesn't count.

A little clarification here. I meant a picture of sf on the rfc site,
and in front of at least one of the pictures posted to indicate that
they were in Italy. Otherwise they are lying about where they supposedly
went without both in advance of their "trip".

You did not know not to eat at the TRAIN station? Do many American train
stations have great food? Italian food, all regions, can be wonderful if you
use your head and do some research. First rule of thumb for lodgings and
food: get at far away from the train station as you can.

Guess I touched a nerve huh Steve? How does it feel to live in a federal
pen getting butt****ed daily and being someone's bitch?

If you had 1/4 of a functional brain you would know I am not in Georgia
or anywhere near it. But if you had a brain you would be dangerous. So
all the better for the rest of the world.

Our governator is incapable of running California. He was elected by
simple minded tightwads because of his platform about not "raising"
taxes. If you can manage simple arithmetic, you will see that
California's state deficit is equal to the lost vehicle license tax
revenue of the past six years which should have reverted back to it's
previous level. It's a crying shame, but yep... they got what they
voted for and we're paying for it.

The end of this month. Thanks for asking.

It's a "Sea Day" today, thank goodness... Egypt tomorrow. 12 hours,
ugh. What was I thinking? This better be good because I'm ruined
out and King Tut is visiting San Francisco.

I killed $55 worth of minutes in two days. Agent has offline mode for
a reason, but when I'm downloading bodies at a snail's pace, dealing
with tinypic in German and a netbook that is easily confused when I
try to do too much at one time... it's a challenge to keep the minutes
down.
