Meat Pies
Is anyone familiar with a meat pie called Seconitza (phonetic)? My
older brother made one once and I will always remember it as delicious cold. Ingredients included: several different kinds of meat eggs some kind of cheese, I think ..... I took it to work for lunch while it lasted and loved it. TIA V |

Sprinkle with ground allspice add 6-7 eggs and mix again with your hands. Sprinkle on paprika. Place in greased cake pan,. Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes |

For a different take on it, make a batch of baking powder biscuit dough and spread or roll it out into a rectangle. Spread the meat mixture all over, leaving 1/2 inch margin on the two long sides. Roll up, starting on a long side. Seal. Slice into 1/2-3/4" thick slices (pinwheel-style). Bake on greased cookie sheet for 30 minutes at 375, making sure the meat is fully cooked. Serve with sauce made from ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, diced onion, sweet pickle relish (if you want it) and brown sugar. Refrigerate leftovers. These are really good hot, and can be eaten cold as leftovers. N. |

Meat Pies
Meat and veg wrapped in a starch. A meal in a handful. Eggroll, burrito, shepards pie, pasties, perozhki, hot dogs. It is all the same with a million variations.
