Creamed chipped beef on freshly baked biscuits (much better than on toast).
But much later. I can't eat breakfast this early!

You mean those unregulated sausages that are mostly filler? And what
makes it proper anyway?

I'd skip the sausage, but the rest sounds pretty good.

My breaky:

Three large pancakes with two over easy eggs sandwiched between, good
maple syrup over the top. A side of pork bulk sausage patties on the
side along with some cottage potatoes. Wheat toast, and and a small
glass of OJ, and a large glass of whole milk.

You could have anything you want and you'd choose shit on a biscuit?

How about lunch. Might I suggest boiled hot dogs simmered in weenie
water gravy? You could have it on a croissant instead of the
traditional Wonder-type bread.

Hehe. OK. I'll stick with traditional breakfast foods.
Two Grade AA jumbo eggs perfectly basted (100% solid white, runny
yolk) in bacon grease, two pieces of hickory smoked bacon, two patties
of red pepper/sage breakfast sausage, some home fries, one slice of
soft wheat toasted and buttered, a large pitcher of fresh squeezed
Cara Cara OJ, a large mug of cafe au lait made with strong drip brewed
Sumatra.

What I *am* having is very unusual for me, a glazed donut with cassia
sprinkled on it. And the cafe au lait.

If you look, you can find some excellent sausages in England, you are
unlikely to be served them in any chain restaurant/hotel though.

The "side of pork bulk sausage patties" will of course be minced cuts
of prime 100% free range pork I hope

Now *that's* more like it :-) That's often how I do my eggs even if I
don't make bacon, I always have a large olive jar of the bacon grease in
the fridge for this, as well as the oil for the cottage fries. Also add
a Tbs or two when making bean soup.

What's your problem? Creamed chipped beef is wonderful stuff when properly
prepared. I enjoyed my breakfast immensely. Sorry but I'm not eating
lunch. I'm going to make potato-leek soup for dinner. You may have your
portion with Wonder bread. I'm having lightly toasted sourdough with mine

Steve -

While I have no doubt you *can* find good sausages in England, One of
the cooking shows I was watching a few months back, specifically point
out the lack of standards. In fact they had to go to a "reputable"
butcher shop to ensure a sausage that was all pork and not just 30% pork
and the rest filler and spice.

As to my bulk pork, it is not "free range" pork, but it is 99% pork, ham
or pork fat. the other 1% being water, monosodium glutimate (sp?), and
spices. Not to mention pretty tasty :-)

My "make a wish breakfast" would be:
Very dense, moist banana bread with cream cheese, 1/2 lb of bacon, bowl
of fresh strawberries and a gin and grapefruit juice.

Not sure which show you watched but there are standards as to minimum
meat content (by % weight) but they don't specify which cuts the meat
should be. A lot of it can be the reclaimed meat that is mechanically
scraped from the bones. The worst ones are "catering" sausages sold for
canteens/restaurants. A sign of a proper butcher for me is the quality
of their sausages. Once you find a good one, it is worth going back.
These days you can even find some reasonable sausages in UK supermarkets
but you have to pay a lot more for them than the typical Walls banger.

Will leave you to enjoy your "bulk pork"

Are strawberries in season up there? I assume so, but I am not
quite sure how much farther north you are.

I have no made banana bread for so long! It's pretty cool here,
so I could rectify that soon.

My 14 year old son could scarf all that and be pointing to your side of
bacon and asking, "Are you going to eat that?" before you'd so much as
taken the first bite off of your veggie omelet.

And then he'd be asking if he could order a chocolate chip muffin (the
ones that are the size of a cantelope), and guzzling from your coffee cup.

Yes, that is because I am still a growing boy, and indulge myself as I
amone of my Mom's little snowflakes... LOL But yes, and BTW, I forgot
you must add a nice size slice of unsalted butter on top the pancakes
before adding the maple syrup. |:-) (that's the wrinkle on my forehead
as I gain 6 lbs eating this).

Steve - Please don't feel I was poking at your sausages... I'm sure they
are nice.

But don't poke at my "bulk" sausage! That just indicates on this side of
the pond, that is it without a casing and can be shaped like you wish
:-) Quality has nothing to do with it. Tasty is, Tasty gone.

Okay, if you are really planning on getting decadent, how about:

A freshly cooked prime rib steak (with rib) and a nice horse radish
sauce (or Bearnaise)

A slice of a asparagus Frittata (for your veggie :-))

A nice slice of Sourdough to sup up the steak juices

A glass of OJ

A slice of strawberry/rhubarb pie still hot with a pat of butter on top,
and a glass of whole milk.

Complete the meal with a nice Bloody Mary

That's what I'd do if I had a reason.

Jean -

I don't know about NH, but here in Michigan, if it wasn't for so much
rain the last couple of days I'd be out at a local fruit farm where the
are ready to start picking (and they don't watch for what you eat while
picking) :-) I just wish my tomato plants weren't drowning... I waited a
little too long to get them into the ground.

Strawberry is one of my favorite fruits. Yum! What I can't eat, I shall
freeze.

I could eat this breakfast. I might want my eggs on the side, though. And
maybe bacon instead of sausage.
