confession about devil's food

At certains times I have to go somewhere in north london (u.k.) and finish
up there at about lunch time.

Rather than go to any local cafes, none of which I like; I have many times
given in to temptation ( developed as a favourite childhood treat) and go
and demolish a 'whole' roll of ginger nut biscuits..... It's heaven!

However when I get home half an hour later, I feel a bit sick from all that
fat and sugar ingested at one go!

What would I best be eating soon after this sin, to counteract the effect of
the packet of biscuits?

I couldn't easily bear anything sweet, but would from a health point of view
something like carrots be best ? Or what else? Thanks.

Well, my son, don't eat anything else. Just wash it down with a bottle
of castor oil, say ten "Hail Mary"s and thou shalt be forgiven.

Perhaps a hot dog or a sloppy joe.

Get yourself checked out for pre diabetes. You shouldn't feel sick.

Try protein. Maybe some peanuts will help.

I love cooking with wine.
Sometimes I even put it in the food.
