Well, after 3 months the results from Blinky's exam are in. The
official cause of death on the death certificate is "Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease". However, there was no autopsy performed, so I'm betting that's just a guess. Until those 2 weeks before he died, his cardio was in decent shape - his blood pressure was normal, his cholesterol was in line. We went to donate blood regularly. He didn't exercise much, but he was in decent shape, regardless of the 30ish extra pounds he tended to carry. So, unless there's some trace chemical in his blood, I don't see how they could make the determination of heart attack. I have no access to any test results that they would have used. I've contacted his daughter to see if she has any access to that information, and will update here accordingly. This does make me wonder if perhaps whatever he was sick with got to his heart. That would explain the incredible fatigue. I had a brother in law that died in his late 30's from a viral infection of his heart, and as I recall now his symptoms were fairly similar. He, however, went to the doctor and hung on for months before it finally took him. Without that autopsy, we'll never really know. *******s. -- Aingon Atelia aka Minkie Zeeber Poke out my left I to reply |
