You will never be able to call me an old-timer, since I have been 39 for
about 10 years now. It's the new math, at least it is mine. :-)

It is nice to see you posting, Debbie.

The surgery was welcomed, I had a spinal fusion, and am pain free.
Consequently am off and running, erm wakking again, traveling a lot ,
which I love and getting ready to return to the dig for the month of
June!! Busy is good.l

Every few months, it gets buried another layer deeper. Eventually, it
will take longer to find the search, than it would just to reinvent the
whole world. This is telling *me* something. :-(

Best to bookmark it.

Glad to hear all is well, Rosie! Many people don't do very well after
back surgery.

I started posting about '94 and used to post a lot. Times change, work
gets nuts and I don't post as much anymore. I lurk more than I post
nowadays, which is a decided switch.

I got online in 1998. Looks like the first Google Groups heard of me was
in December of '05, but the new groups search is so horrendous that I
don't really trust it.

Same story and thought here. Google has absolutely ruined the
group search function.

are you talking about the archive itself, or the interface? someone posted
a pointer to the old search page here not long ago:

<http://www.users.on.net/~fzabkar/GoogleGroupsAdvSearch.htm>

look familiar?

Looks familiar, but still does not produce desired search
results. It's as though the search function is blown,
or the archive is mostly gone. There have been rolling
archive gaps in the past, but not like this.
