Sorta Don't try this at home kids - it's just one more in a series of fake how-to videos that has become popular on video sites. It's some kind of internet phenomenon. Why anybody would time the time and effort to make these things is a mystery. Misinformation - it's the new information. :-) > -- > > modom |

Normally, I think everything is funny, however, I've seen too many to these videos. Ever see the "Look Around You" videos? The opening sequence with the guy entering code in BASIC on an Acorn BBC Microcomputer carries a lot of information -- like those filmstrips the coach who taught health in 10th gade. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euWOP895q9I -- modom |

I've never seen this series. This tells me that you're probably a old computer enthusiast around 55 or 60 years old, who grew up watching this type of material in the UK and has a rather droll sense of humor. That's my guess anyway. In my case, I missed most of the humor - too much of an American, I guess. You might find this to be funny or of interest: http://tinyurl.com/2fy4a8 > > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euWOP895q9I > -- > > modom |

You got my age about right. To set the record straight, I'm a Texan with Louisiana roots, married to a native Texan. The old computer stuff is just a passing interest because of how I was first convinced to use a personal computer. A good friend back in the early 80s had a Kaypro, and he showed me how to use it for word processing. It looked like this: http://oldcomputers.net/pics/kayproii.jpg -- modom |

That cheap parlor trick works a lot of the time. :-) That Kaypro reminds me of this: http://oldcomputers.net/sx64.html Good thing it has that hefty rubber grip handle, you'd need it!
