Zowie! We had groups like that at my grandmother's when I was growing up,
and it was wonderful fun and festive. However, I'm an only child with no
children, and as an adult I would probably be in the loony bin right now.

Thanks - it's about 1/2 of what I used to do. For many years after my
in-laws retired we absorbed the immediate family Christmas tradition. The
norm was 24 to 30. This one is a bit of a struggle because I miss my double
oven.

It's a wonderful tradition, one pretty much like that at my grandmother's.
I think our number used to run to a bit over 20 or so. My grandmother had
only a small range with a small oven. I'm sure she would have loved to
have a double oven, too.
