Default combination ratio of microwave to oven

Novice wants to try a Delia Smith casserole recipe. Essentially: pork,
chorizo sausage, onion, jar of roast pimento and jar of thick tomato sauce,
olive oil, olives, garlic and potatoes; bring to boil and put in oven for
1.50 to 2 hours.

now if you don't have any jar of thick tomato sauce, but have plenty of
tomato puree and tin tomatoes what would be the best way to *mix them up* to
create a substitute for the tomato sauce or would all puree or all tin
tomatoes be best?

The other question is that our little LG. microwave, although it calls it
self a 'combination ' microwave does not have an oven heater 'only' feature.
You have only a choice of three options, in the ratio of microwave to heater
power. And they both have to be going at once. (the heating unit doubles up
as a grill). Since they don't have any mention in the instructions of just
using the grill as an oven heater or have any way of setting the temperature
as an oven with a temperature control.

so its a choice of ;

option 1. 20% microwave power and 80% oven heater power (the heater is
actually the grill).

option 2. 40% micro and 60% heater

option 3. 60% micro and 40% heater.

Presumably using option three rather than option one would be the most
efficient from the electricity cost point of view? But would option 3 be
better from the taste point of view or would it be unlikely to make an
appreciable difference? Thanks for any advice.
