No. You can buy pitted olives without stuffing: http://www.sbolive.com/product.aspx?...8987-58075e0c0 c9e I haven't ordered these, but I've ordered the habanero ones in the past for a Christmas present for my daughter, and have ordered them again this year. Nothing like a little jar of olives in the Christmas stocking, and more under the tree! -- Dan Abel Petaluma, California USA |

My mom used to take a pimento stuffed green olive and mold seasoned ground beef around it. Then she baked em. They were known as "Eagle Eye" meatballs. Everyone liked them so much that she started putting a layer of green/pimento olives or salad olives in the meatloaf. (Cheaper to use salad olives) Lynn in Fargo |

These days almost everybody buys them frozen and ready to heat in a frying pan, though. It isn't just any olive, but really big ones partially cured, called alla salamoia, which are not at all as salty as regular olives. You could back off all salt in stuffing and breading I think and get closer. |
