Flama pressure cooker -- where has the company gone?
About ten years ago I received a Flama pressure cooker as a gift, and
have been happy with it. It's an odd design, but it works wonderfully, cleans well, and is easy to use. This week I made a lovely brisket and potatoes in it, and amid a periodic valve disassembly/cleaning worried for a moment that I lost a valve part when cleaning afterward (as it turned out, I hadn't). I called the hotline in the instructions, based in Hicksville, Long Island, and it's no longer in service. Then I tried the web, and Flama seems to have all but vanished. Anyone know where they went? If they were bought out, is there any info on who bought them? I'm mostly concerned if I need parts in the future. |

I still don't see a US office anymore, though. |
