ObFood: Divinity.
INGREDIENTS: 4 cups sugar 1 cup white corn syrup 1/2 cup water 5 egg whites 2 teaspoon pure vanilla METHOD: Set a pan to medium heat; add sugar, corn syrup, and water and stir until sugar has dissolved. Using a candy thermometer, cook mixture until it reaches 250°F. Allow it to cook into a hardened state. As the mixture cooks, separate and beat egg whites into stiff peaks. As the mixture reaches its 250°F, slowly add into the egg whites; whip fully into whites. Add vanilla and beat until mixture holds shape. Drop divinity onto waxed paper. Work fast as mixture will cool quickly. Ranger |
