And Longmont and Boulder CO are covered, but not Denver. Go figure.

Ok, I checked one of the local neighborhoods I traverse often.

They mention the Dunkin Donuts, McRat's and a few others,
have 2 or three local restaurants, but miss some of the good
places that have been there forever.

Spotty. I wonder how they choose the places they mention?

Covers the greater L.A. area but so far quite spottily. If it catches
on its coverage should spread. I like being able to preview a menu.
The review feature will be like ofther restaurant sites, namely,
completely subjective and unreliable. -aem

Where's Dallas? Fort Worth? Houston? San Antonio? Austin?

New Orleans? !

One assumes this is in its early stages of development and points
south will eventually appear.

That one's not in Texas, but there's too many vowels.

This may be a new site and they need some more menus. Just
guessing.

I have absolutely *no* idea! They have menus to small $$$ restaurants
that are hard to find online in my city. The one I looked for had a
url that was not "restaurant name" dot com.

The NE is covered, but not very well IMO.

What surprises me is they don't have Chicago on the map yet. I'm sure
Boulder is covered because someone went to college there.... not
dissing Boulder, just putting it into perspective. If Boulder, why
not Austin or Middlebury?

Thanks for the link! I'd like to see menus from the midwest and south

Unless I missed something on the site, it appears that you have to be a
restaurant owner to submit your menu.

Damn. I didn't read the link before I responded. Have you figured
out if it costs money to be listed on the site?

It's the map I'm talkin' about, wise guy.

Hoity toity types eat well in Dallas:
http://www.stephanpyles.com/index.asp for example.
And them as like it less hoity toity can enjoy more plebeian yet
tasty fa http://www.sonnybryans.com/ e.g. or:
http://lapopulartamales.com/

Then there's Fort Worth with http://www.lonesomedovebistro.com/ and
http://www.shakeyourloveshack.com/ both creatures of Tim Love, who
whupped Bobby Flay on Iron Chef last year and who looks right decent
in a cowboy hat and who made us some venison chops once that were so
fine D wanted to buy me a gun to go kill Bambi so she could have some
more.

But you get the drift. They ain't on the menu map.

How many vowels am I limited to? NOLA is (Katrina not withstanding)
both one of the nation's food destinations and absent from the menu
map, which appears to be a site where restauranteurs may list their
offerings, but fans like me may not.

But I may be wrong. Have been before.

You can have as many as you want, as long as I don't have to help count
them. I need one hand for counting with, and one hand for counting on.
Louisiana is beyond my meager limits.

Interesting site, menus are nice, but the lack of coverage and the ads
are a bit annoying. A site with much better coverage and no advertising,
but without menu details is: http://www.chefmoz.org

is it the custom where you live to post a menu in the window of the
(physical) restaurant? in the d.c. area, some do, some don't.
