I'd love to be more help to you, but I buy mine directly at a coop in
Puglia. The brans Vilco suggests, however, is very good and guaranteed to
be Italian and Umbrian. Many use oils from other countries which we won't
get into.

Well, to be fair, the Greeks dealed in olive oil before there were Italians ...
Although I was a little surprised to see Greek olives in an Italian supermercato
last year.

Each bottle needs to be individually wrapped in bubble wrap and ride in
its own first class plane seat with the air conditioning turned on high,
and the least amount of turbulence the pilot can manage.

When the plane lands, the bottles must be hand-carried to waiting
limousines with the a/c working and individually delivered to the user
who must immediately place the unwrapped bottle in his/her wine fridge,
middle shelf.

ANyone who uses olive oil treated otherwise does not deserve to cook
with anything other than TOO (trollop olive oil) or, as an alternative,
unfiltered used motor oil.

They should be kepot cool and dark and not dawdle. We hear horror stories
of tankers tied up with millions of liters of oil in 42°C heat and it sits
there for weeks. I don't want any part of that oil no matter where it came
from.
