There is a simple way to find out, and that is to come into chat.

So is one the caramel extract? I'd never heard of that either.

Golden syrup is available on line and in specialty shops.
Do a rfc search on it and you'll find several suppliers.

I'm not interested in buying golden syrup. I was wondering what a
decent alternative is for it.

TIA

I don't think there is a alternative...Equal parts corn syrup and honey
might be closer than straight light corn syrup

Thanks, I'd probably end up letting any leftover golden syrup sit on
my shelf for the next two decades, or until I got around to throwing
it out.

I've had corn syrup held at room temps get mold on the surface. I put
opened bottles in the refrigerator now. But other than that, yeah.
Leftover syrup could probably be used successfully in a pecan pie. As I
mentioned previously, I use half light corn syrup and half Steen's cane
syrup in pies. The golden syrup would probably work fine.
