Hi Everyone,

I just joined and though I would give a brief introduction so everyone
could get to know a little more about me.

My name is Connie, I am a 40-year-old single mother of 3, I live deep
in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina where I was born and
raised.

My life I could say has been one most folks would call amazing to say
the least as I have done almost everything there is to do; I was
Married for 11 years and during that time I was everything from a stay
at home mom to a 5 year restaurant owner.

After my divorce I set out in various Entrepreneur fields, I am co -
owner for a web design company and now I am in the process of opening
several different businesses which will help employee a lot of the out
of work people in my area. These include a Wedding Consultant Firm, A
Catering Company and a Personal Chef Company.

I love to cook and I am always looking for new recipes to use for my
businesses, I also have TONS of my own recipes and cookbooks. I will
be sharing them as I get a chance in the future.

I hope by joining I will find 1st of all good friends as well as learn
from everyone and help others by finding a solution or just being a
friend to listen. Like my granny always preached to me "Do Unto
Other's"

Thanks for reading,

Connie

Hi Connie. You certainly live in one of the most beautiful places in the
world! I'm also new to this group. Hope to enjoy some of your recipes
soon.

I just checked the RFC membership list, and you aren't
a registered user. Non-members can view the traffic
on RFC, but you shouldn't post anything. I can understand
why you don't want to register -- some people are
uncomfortable giving out their Safeway membership card
number -- but them's the rules! You could always get
an extra membership card and use that one for registering,
if you're concerned about identity theft, although I've
found that when other people use my card number I get
offered more discount coupons. Hope this helps :-)

What foods/dishes would you consider to be unique or native to your
region? Not counting anything to do with barbecue..... ;-) -aem
