We just ordered some stuff from STP:

http://www.sierratradingpost.com/

All you women out there, they have all shoes at least 50% off, plus an
extra 20% off, plus free shipping for a %75+ order.

My wife got three pairs of really nice shoes, and a pair of cowgirl
boots for $101.xx

http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/3...For-Women.html
http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/3...For-Women.html

I don't own stock in the company.

I also got one of these for creek hiking:

http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/,...n-System-.html

They have guys shoes similarly on sale, but most guys aren't as shoe
happy as most gals :)

I seriously doubt that any self respecting women who are truly into
shoes would be caught dead in that trailer trash footwear. Made in
China/Mexico. They look like crap and they are crap... those are the
shoes hawked at flea markets. You can buy better he http://www.blair.com

What a lucky guy to have such a low maintenence wife.

You're proving what an idiot you are... all vodka is the same... in
fact all booze contains exactly precisely the same alcohol. But
clothing is all different... your wife must like plastic shoes or
she's allergic to real leather.

It does have the same ethanol and the same water, but vodka is not
100% pure.

Which ones are plastic?

Here are some cheapie ones that have plastic soles:

She got a pair of those too.

I bet that the women reading this thread think that I'm a nice

I've subscribed to Sierra Trading Post's catalog for years. Shepler's
and Cavender's, too. My daughter got my brown Justins off of me for
last Labor Day's Chuckwagon Races ("No time to shop and I don't want
just any brown boots, I want those, I already know they fit, come on,
please, Please, PLEASE?"). And after three days of sweating, showering
and swimming in those boots they were molded to her feet and her gait.

I have to admit, though, that I like my new ones better. They've got a
square toe and a lower heel. I had originally thought that I'd take
them over to the shoe repair place and get the heel replaced with a
higher underslung western heel. until I wore them around a few days and
decided that the heel was fine as it was.

Yes. My wife shops at Goodwill. It's cheap, it helps people and it

Google had trouble with that one. After Sheldon explained that it was
vodka, it worked.

The clothing at the Goodwill is cheap because it's used, but it's
almost always far better quality than the schmatahs sold at Bobo's web
site... Goodwill puts those trailer trash items in the dumpster, they
are not going to waste valuable store space on rags. I've shopped at
the Goodwill type stores too, Salvation Army, VFW, etal. Even though
the items are used they are of exceptional quality, even better than
any new items made today... I've purchased wooden furniture; tables,
bookcases, desks... just needs some elbow grease and it's a million
times better than any of that lettuce crate crap from IKEA.

Only imbeciles use top shelf vodka for mixed drinks... imagine, those
greedy schmucks won't give their wimmen decent clothing but for

I checked the Blair site. Easy Street, SoftSpots and Clark's are made
in China - used to be made in the US and the UK. I won't touch shoes
made in China but the majority are, these days, so I spend my time
searching for non-Chinese. Whatever happened to US shoe manufacturers?

Capitalism. It is more profitable to pay Chinese workers 35¢ an hour,
than pay Americans or Brits 50X that much.

I took a quick look at the STP site. Quite a few shoes are made in
Italy or Europe, are of good leather and made better than their Chinese
counterparts. Looks like a good website, Bryan - I'll enjoy looking at
it more closely. Thanks.
Incidentally, I've purchased a couple of clothing items from Blair and
have been very disappointed by the quality and fit.

Sheldon, STP only carries high end brands, but they are overstocks,
last year's styles/colors, limited size selections, slight irregulars,
etc.

You really can't taste a big difference between a bottom tier vodka
like Crystal Palace, and a moderately priced one like SKYY or Svedka
in a mixed drink?
Really?

> imagine, those greedy schmucks won't give their wimmen decent clothing but for

I'd never buy "$40 a liter vodka," but if you can't tell the
difference between a screwdriver made with Absolut ($18, maybe $20 a
liter), and one made with Crystal Palace, then I would say that you
are atypical. Oh, and I don't "give" my wife clothing. I just helped
facilitate her finding the shoes because I got an email from STP, and
showed her some of the great deals. She's quite happy that she got 2
pairs of cowgirl boots and three pairs of nice work shoes, all for
under $150.

Some of the folks who post here were already quite familiar with STP.
You are the only one who seems to think that they sell crappy stuff.
On the contrary, they sell stuff way out of my price range.

That's not true. They carry all sorts of brands, but what they have varies
greatly each time I go there. I've gotten Birkenstocks there. They don't
seem to have any at the moment though.

It's not true that all stuff at Goodwill is used. I've bought things online
that didn't fit, or was given gifts of things that didn't fit (I generally
won't send things back), weren't my style or simply weren't things I/we
needed. For instance when we lived in Northern CA, people would keep
sending my daughter things like snow suits. Our weather was pretty much 70
year round so no need for those things.

Me too. The pants are a joke! Waaaay too big for me, even though I checked
the size before I ordered. Their tops are usually too short for me. I have
gotten a couple of sweaters that fit and were okay. Just okay. They do
have this look about them like I purchased them from some cheapo online
store though.

Sierra actually carries many outstanding and very expensive products. They
buy over stock and close out inventory, not dreck. There are four or five
large brick and mortar stores in the western US. I have been to the one in
Cody, Wy and Sheldon was there trying on a tight pink stripped shirt.
