Seems we have a new Government ....... bit bloody stupid as the last one
wasn't broken, no need to fix it.

Anyways, I'm asserting right from ZERO hour........ I didn't have anything
to do with it.

So I baked a lemon and yoghurt cake to take friends place Sunday night for
dinner.

She's doing (Jamie Oliver) Slow Roasted Lamb Shanks.

She's the cook, he's the wine conisewer......... so it should be a good
night :-)

And I wish to go on record as congratulating the Australian electorate
for putting the better party into power.

Of course!! I forgot you know absolutely *everything* about what happens in
the Australian Government.

Or then again, you could be one of those limp wristed, mincing, *** bar
loitering lefties who want to rush out and cry, beat a drum, and hug a tree
everytime GWB (or anyone who sides with him) makes a comment/appears on TV.

Bet you don't even vote, you twonk.

OK, I'm confused: Are you saying that the Australian electorate DIDN'T elect
the new government? Was there some kind of coup which escaped the attention
of the international media? Or are you saying that today's Australia is
mainly populated by "limp wristed, mincing, *** bar loitering lefties"?

Yes.

No. It was a *Federal* election.

I have been approached previously to run for local office.

But I have too many 'skeletons' in the closet to put myself in that sort
of position.

Wrong. Again.

As stated, I voted. Did you vote in your last election?

(BTW....... voting in Oz is compulsory.)

Not quite true. It is compulsory to attend a polling booth and have your
name marked off the roll but "voting" is not compulsory.

TWONK

Derogitary term, roughly equivalent to idiot. More insulting than berk,
but less insulting that gimp.
Thought to originate in the Victorian Era meaning a lower-class
foreigner

And if you go to the polling booth and waste everyones time doing a 'mickey

Our moron was elected twice and the electorate got what they voted
for. Now we're up to our ears in debt, we're mired in the middle
east, the housing market has crashed... and the polar ice caps are
melting (I couldn't resist).

I heard today that he's running true to form and setting up yet
another bureaucracy -- presumably paying for it by spending the money
he says he will save by reducing the old Howard bureaucracies. Which
mean, from my POV, it's not "saved" at all, just wasted on different
bureaucrats.
